Printing press upgrade
NS Print has upgraded its printing presses and traded in their five printing units for two but will still achieve a net gain in output.
The decision to replace a four and single colour GTO with a Speedmaster SM52-2 comes on the back of our success with the printmaster PM 52-5 installed two years ago.
"We were so impressed with the five-colour and its speed of setting up, inking, dampening and overall quality we came back for more. Today's press technology is infinitely better than equipment we bought 14 years ago although we were impressed back then," says Managing Director Reg Parsons.
Operators are excited about the new investment which will mean working with one standard plate size. Customers stand to gain with cost-effective solutions, delivered speedily and to a high quality standard.
"We had kept the four-colour GTO to handle overspill from the PM 52, but our operators have seen that they could handle full colour work in two passes faster on the SM 52 than in one pass on the GTO," says Mr. Parsons.
